Angel                           A spiritual being which is superior to humans in power and intelligence.  They are the lowest rank in the celestial hierarchy.

Celestial Hierarchy        A traditional hierarchy of angels ranked from lowest to highest into the following nine orders: angels, archangels, principalities, powers, virtues, dominions, thrones, cherubim, and seraphim.

Cosmology                   The general science or philosophy of the universe.

Epistemology                That department of philosophy which investigates critically the nature, methods, limits and validity of human knowledge.

Holistic                         Relating to or concerned with wholes or with complete systems rather than with the analysis of treatment of, or dissection into parts.  Holistic medicine attempts to treat both the mind and body.  Holistic ecology views humans and the environment as a single system.

Intuition                        Quick and ready insight

Karma                          The force generated by a person’s actions to perpetuate transmigration and in ethical consequences to determine his destiny in his next existence.  Karma is also known as an opportunity for the souls growth according to the universal law of cause and effect an individual’s actions will have a consequence “we reap what we have sown”

Love                            Unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another; which in truth is the good for all.

Metaphysics                 A division of philosophy that is concerned with the fundamental nature of reality and being and that includes ontology, cosmology and often epistemology.  The study which believes the laws of the universe and human existence are connected.

Ontology                      The branch of metaphysics that deals with the nature of being and reality.

Mandala                       A graphic symbol representing the universe.  A mandala is a circle enclosing a square with circular geometric patterns used for meditation purposes.

Soul                             The spiritual principle embodied in human beings.  The soul is a moving spirit that transports the memory and lessons of an individual.

Spirit                            The animating or vital principle held to give life to physical organisms.  The spirit is a living energy.

Spiritual                        Relating to, consisting of, or affecting the spirit.
